Being in a highly specialized technology business; ABC Computers was experiencing double digit growth starting in early 2000, right after the Y2K rush.  The floodgates let loose for many companies that were holding off on technology purchases and orders for new accounting and manufacturing software (also known as Enterprise Resource Planning Systems - ERP) came rushing in. 

With our company having the niche of implementing a customizable ERP system called Microsoft Dynamics NAV, we needed to add employees with skilled technical talents.     

After several years of adding more employees our location became too small and we approached the City of Waupaca to see if they would offer assistance in building a new facility.  The City of Waupaca was most gracious in helping us plan a location in the newly designed Business and Technology Park.   

On the eastern side of the Business Park there was speculation that a bypass might be approved by the State Department of Transportation - located between state highway 54 and highway 10.  The location was near the beautiful Waupaca River on 140 acres of newly acquired property.  After showing our growth projections we reached an agreement for TIF funds with the City of Waupaca and on the eastern portion of the park we built a 15,000 Sq ft facility.

We were very impressed with the City’s willingness to help us with planning and costs.   I would highly recommend the City to establish a growing business.  They reacted quickly, helped wherever possible and have been a partner in the success of our company.
